Traversing the safari hotspots of Tanzania, the Tanzania Classic Safari treats visitors to the popular Northern Tanzania circuit that is home to the greatest migration on Earth. This delightful journey starts in Arusha before heading west to Lake Manyara which is home to over 350 bird species. On the third day continue your journey to the Serengeti which means “endless plains” in the Maasai language. True to its meaning, Serengeti occupies an area of 12,000 square mile and is home to vast array of wildlife but more importantly, it is known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra as they move north in search of pasture.
From the Serengeti, the journey proceeds onwards to the vast Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest unbroken calderas in the world. While here, get to visit Lake Magadi, The Gol Mountains or the Oldupai Museum while all the while being treated to a great spectacle of wildlife. Thereafter, the safari heads onwards to the Tarangire National Park which is known for its large herds of elephants among other wildlife.
